Twelves and Eights. Serving Chicago style beef and vegan hot dogs, along with hand cut, skin on fries.
The journey started with a trip to Chicago. Dom and Jon soaked up the blues music, drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of beef hot dogs.
They loved the Chicago dog concept and decided to try and do it themselves from scratch. It took two years to get the beef sausage recipe perfect. Turns out that making a beef frankfurter from scratch is a bit tricky! They then went about creating a delicious vegan sausage, sourcing the perfect buns and tweaking the recipe for hand cut fries.
They bought an old Mercedes camper van, converted it to a pretty stylish (but cramped!) kitchen and started trading in June 2019 at brewery taprooms - namely Brew By Numbers, Belleville Brewery & Gipsy Hill.
They applied to Pop Brixton whilst doing a 20 day pop-up restaurant on Commercial Street and and the rest is history!
