Maria Sabina is an authentic Mexican street eatery which started as a small market stall on Brixton Station Road in 2013. We take Mexican classics such as chicken tinga, chorizo con papas, papas mexicanas or pastor pork and turn them into amazing tacos and quesadillas served just as it is in Mexico. Our recipes come from few generations of family cooking in central Mexico (Guanajuato) where our business originated from. It's that flavour of a Mexican household we are trying to preserve.
All our dishes including salsas and our famous guacamole are made freshly on site. Even tortilla chips are cut and fried by hand. We only use fresh produce and are proud of the amount of work that goes into our food. It's the passion that makes it special.
On the weekends you can find us serving iconic Mexican specials such as fish or steak tacos, carnitas and more.
If you are thirsty we also offer tequilas, Mexican beers and flavoured water (Agua frescas).
We are proud of our Mexican heritage. We aim to serve our food in the Mexican way – tasty, little messy, fun and full of love. Tacos are our passion and we hope you can taste it yourself. Venga!
