Impact Brixton is a membership community for people working on projects for a better Lambeth and beyond. Since opening its doors in May 2014, Impact Brixton has welcomed 175 incredible members – social entrepreneurs, activists, freelancers, dreamers and doers.
Some members are working to improve education systems through music and the arts, some are connecting food growing hubs, some are creating technology for wellbeing – but all share an ethos of exchanging skills and knowledge, and having fun along the way.
Powered by a shared workspace, we provide a safe space for informal skill and knowledge exchange between members, as well as space to test trade products and services. Members said 60% of business opportunities actually come to them via the Hub.
We also run a variety of free and open events, from tech meet-ups to pitching events, informal member socials to big community dinners.
Impact Hub Brixton is part of a wider network of 82 Hubs worldwide, enabling 11,000 change makers to be their best selves. It all started in 2005 when a group of students and entrepreneurs came together with a dream of creating a space that made them want to come to work. With the belief that large-scale social change, innovative solutions and world-altering ideas stem from collaboration, connectivity and community.
