Donostia Social Club (Donostia is the Basque word for San Sebastian) started off as a street food van and an events/catering company about 3 years ago.
After a few successful pop ups and residency we started to look for a more permanent space to build a pintxos bar (Pintxos is the Basque term for tapas).
With over 20 years experience in the catering trade, including many years working in Spain. This, combined with a love of the Basque country and a want to serve extraordinary Basque food in a unique setting, has inspired this business.
We have an amazing menu including seared scallops with pisto, green chilli sauce & almonds and our famous braised Iberico pork cheek with butterbean purée, our menu changes with the seasons and we always have on some great specials.
We have had an wonderful first few months at Pop Brixton getting 4 stars from Time out, winning @EatinBrixton award for Brixton's favourite restaurant 2015 and hopefully there is much more to come!
