The Soul Exchange is a rare soul night born and bred in West London and is now making its way across all corners of the capital and further down to the coast. Founder Scarlett O'Malley brings The Soul Exchange to Pop this September with a hoard of high class selectors in a day-to-night time party.
Saturday the 7th will bring Jazz FM Late Lab star and Jazz Cafe resident Anne Frankenstein to The Soul Exchange for the first time. Best known for her smooth soul, funk and dancing disco discoveries, we are very excited to see what varying vinyl platters she brings to the table. Up next off the back of her UK and US tour with The Specials we have Saffiyah Khan. Saffiyah features on The Specials most recent UK no.1 album 'Encore' with her track 10 Commandments, and as well as being part of the band, she DJed a deep selection of Northern Soul across the tour, we're hoping she brings the same energy and eclectic tracks to our next September date! Veteran DJ and knowledgable music-man Jack Gadsden is the next on our line-up.
Jack is highly regarded throughout the soul scene across the UK as one of the best selectors, one of the best dressed, and possibly one of the most charming DJs. With an extensive records collection, we're happy to welcome Jack back to The Soul Exchange stage. Debuting with us this September is James Curry of the Over Easy DJ collective. Scarlett and James shared the stage at Glastonbury this year, and after hearing his fine tune choosing of rare soul, old and new, James is the perfect addition to this London line-up.
Last but not least is Scarlett O'Malley, party-loving crate-digging creative director, who will be bringing her usual good vibrations and vinyl from across the nations in the form of soul, latin and calypso to this end of summer soiree. DJs are spinning from 4pm all the way through to midnight and it is free entry, so no excuses! See you on the dance floor!
